An explanation of the different models
Breyer has several categories of models. lets start with size. The largest is the "Traditional". This size varies from about 13 to 5 ½ inches tall sometimes slightly taller or shorter. THe next smaller size is "Classic". These models are around 6 inches tall. Then there are the "Little Bits" which are 5 inches and lastly there are the "Stable Mates" at 3 inches tall.
Stone Horses is located in Shipshewana Indiana. Peter Stone moved away from Breyer in ____ and forms Stone Horses. There are styling differences between Breyer and Stone that make each product different. It is my opinion that Stone Horses are slightly more stylized and have more detail in the painting. I have talked to the staff on several occasions and they are always warm and inviting people. I like Stone Horses quite a bit however I don't own any at this time.
