Adios

Sculped by Chris Hess, first mold release 1969. Stallion. Ears forward, roman nosed, thick neck, mane and tail, almost as thickly built as a light draft horse. He has a bit of a Mona Lisa grin to him when held just so in certain lighting. Stamps- First few Adios' have only the Round "BREYER MOLDING CO." Copyright. After those first few the U.S.A. stamp was added. Some of the early U.S.A. stamped models may have the "B".

#50 Adios

Dark bay, (yes) shaded ears muzzle, eyes and groin. Black mane, tail and legs. Hooves are dark brown/gray in front and tan in the hind. He has a tiny star and 2 hind unmasked socks. The left sock has 2 black airbrush swoops in a forward curve, and the right sock has 2 of these same swoops in the inside and the outside is solid black from mid pastern up. He is matte with somewhat glossy eyes, it could just be that the black paint used for the eyes is a glossy paint. Produced from 1969 to 1980. Adios was also a Presentation Collection horse in 1971. Stamps- Round "BREYER MOLDING CO." Copyright and the U.S.A., no 'B' on mine. {I have 1 in 4- condition}

#51 Yellow Mount

Chestnut paint. All markings are stenciled. His nostrils are shaded gray and his muzzle is pink as is his left hoof where the stocking is. His other hooves are the same color as his body and his mane and tail are darker chestnut than his body color. A known variation is called the "Shoulder or Forearm Spot Yellow Mount". This variation has an additional spot starting usually on the lower right shoulder and running down the front inside of the leg to just above the knee. the exact placement of this additional spot can vary slightly. Produced from 1970 to 1987. This model is also a Presentation Collection horse from 1971 to 1973. Stamps- Round "BREYER MOLDING CO." Copyright and the U.S.A., no 'B' on mine. {I have 1 no spot in 4- condition}
